This is a great training ground for paddlers looking to step up their game. There are permeant slalom gates on the first rapid right below put-in, however they are not always in the water. The rapids are all great for working on catch eddies and boat scouting. This run may be short but it is filled with a handful of fun rapids. Bring a couple vehicles and do a few laps to get in a full days work of paddling. You can also continue on the Sandy River down to Oxbow Park.
