Questions that Zach covered in the Q&A section of this episode

Topic: Owyhee

I did not get any river permits this year.

When will the Owyhee be at optimal levels with nice weather?

Topic: Oar Shaft Selection for Beginner

Thank you for all the work you been putting into the videos. Just got the bug for oars and have been studying your videos. My current boat is a 9.5’ Maravia. I calculated my oar length with your formula and it comes out to be 8.27 feet. Should I round up or down?

Blade selection:
I think the southeast would be considered shallow water in comparison to you guys. I was looking at polecats with Cataract cutthroats. Had a guy from 4corners river sports recommend NRS mini helix blades. What’s your thoughts on small blade profiles for small boats?
